About the role

Ochsner seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the 7South Stroke weekend program, providing exceptional care to patients during day shifts (7 am‑7 pm). This role combines medical‑surgical, telemetry, and stroke‑unit responsibilities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, patient‑centered care.
• Assess learning needs of patients and families and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, acting as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Apply data and evidence‑based practice to evaluate outcomes and drive quality improvement.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior experience required; new graduates are welcome.
