Retail Car Sales Representative

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Retail Car Sales Representative in Houston, Texas. As the face of the company, you match customers with their dream vehicle using a one-price model, a wide inventory of makes and models and an Ultimate Test Drive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers and give them a comfortable car-buying experience
• Determine customers' needs and wants and guide them through their options, showing deep knowledge of the industry and vehicles
• Manage test drives and handle the write-up part of the sales process
• Follow up with existing customers to confirm satisfaction and generate more leads
• Achieve individual sales goals and customer service goals

Required profile

• High school diploma
• At least one year of related sales experience
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to travel locally
• Experience in automotive sales and dealership customer service preferred
• Previous finance and warranty background preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Required skills

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a haggle-free, fixed-pricing, high-volume dealership model
• Good organization and multitasking
• Understanding of marketing programs, events and promotions
• Comfort with social media to advertise offers
• Proficiency with computer applications, including mobile apps

What we offer

• Annual starting salary of $65,000 - $91,000, depending on factors such as geography, skills, education and experience
• Base salary plus unlimited commission potential with no draw
