Resident Experience Ambassador (Part Time)

About the role

The Experience Senior Living team, which works to help people live fully as they age, is looking for a part-time Resident Experience Ambassador in Mechanicsville. The ambassador helps run the daily and monthly activity program and supports residents' engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate socials, games, crafts, cooking, movies, outings, outdoor time and other activities according to the monthly and daily schedule.
• Work with the Resident Experience team to suggest new ideas and encourage others to propose new suggestions for the monthly program.
• Help create and adjust the Resident Experience plan for each resident and ensure every resident receives a copy of the monthly activity calendar.
• Invite and engage all residents who wish to take part, and accompany them to and from activities.
• Use Lifeloop to record attendance at activities and one-to-one interactions.
• Report to the Resident Experience Director any personal, emotional, cognitive or environmental concerns that limit a resident's participation.
• Maintain a respectful, customer-focused approach and may drive the company van or vehicle as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience organizing activities or events preferred; 1 to 2 years of work with seniors preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, as the position involves driving duties.
• Able to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Professional appearance and punctuality.

Required skills

• Verbal, written and pictorial communication.
• Ability to use computers, iPads/tablets, Word, the internet, email, social media and Resident Experience software platforms.
• Independent judgment, creativity and problem-solving.
• Teamwork and ability to work with people.
