Part-Time Cosmetologist

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a part-time cosmetologist for its spa in Orlando, Florida. The role delivers high-quality customer service and professional care to spa clients, with other duties as assigned.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain equipment, tools and treatment areas daily.
• Learn to use and operate the products, tools and equipment used at the spa.
• Recommend retail products to clients and facilitate their sale.
• Provide nail and hair treatments, as well as wig fitting and customization.
• Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and skills.
• Set up and break down the work area at the start and end of each shift.
• Promote the spa and implement assigned marketing strategies.
• Take part in spa events, pop-ups and community events, on and off site.

Required profile

• Licensed cosmetologist (required).
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required).
• High school graduate or equivalent (required).
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand conversational English (required).
• Preferred: 1+ year of experience as a cosmetologist in a licensed environment and lash extension experience.

Required skills

• Up to date with industry standards and techniques.
• Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

The schedule is part-time, day shifts. Pay range is $16.02 - $25.63. Applicants may be subject to a Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting.
