Vice President, Memory Care

About the role

The Vice President of Memory Care provides enterprise-wide leadership and strategic direction for Experience Senior Living's Memory Care philosophy, programming, operational standards and resident experience across its portfolio. As the organization's subject-matter leader for dementia care, the role establishes a consistent, evidence-informed approach that supports residents living with cognitive change while promoting dignity, independence, purpose, safety and meaningful engagement. It also partners with Operations, Health & Wellness, Resident Experience, Culinary, Sales, Human Resources and community leadership, and provides strategic oversight for new community development, program implementation, leadership onboarding and continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the enterprise-wide Memory Care strategy, philosophy and operating model, translating it into operational standards, performance expectations and tools across the portfolio.
• Set and oversee quality and performance standards covering resident care, safety, dining, family experience, staffing, programming, documentation and operations, and partner with Health & Wellness on wellness practices such as evaluations, service plans and medication management.
• Build a quality framework using quality data, resident outcomes, regulatory results, operational indicators and stakeholder feedback, and support regulatory readiness, survey responses and corrective actions.
• Evaluate portfolio performance and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership, and support communities facing leadership vacancies, operational challenges or regulatory concerns.
• Develop dementia-specific education, competency validation and leadership development for Memory Care leaders, and build internal talent and succession pipelines.
• Work with Resident Experience and Culinary to shape resident engagement, family orientation and communication, and use resident and family feedback to drive improvements.
