Resident Experience Ambassador

About the role

The Experience Senior Living team is made up of professionals who want to help people live fully as they age. It is looking for a Resident Experience Ambassador to join its team in Mechanicsville. The ideal candidate has previous experience working in Memory Care.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate socials, games, crafts, cooking, movies, outings, outdoor time and other activities according to the monthly and daily schedule.
• Work with the Resident Experience team to suggest new ideas and add to the monthly program.
• Help create and adjust the Resident Experience plan for each resident and make sure every resident receives a copy of the monthly activity calendar.
• Invite and engage all residents to take part, and assist in bringing them to and from activities.
• Use Lifeloop to document attendance at activities and 1:1 interactions.
• Report to the Resident Experience Director any personal, emotional, cognitive or environmental concerns that limit a resident's participation.
• Maintain a customer focus, treat others with respect and integrity, and may drive the company van or vehicle as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Memory Care.
• One to two years of working with seniors preferred; experience organizing activities or events preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, as the position involves driving duties.
• Able to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidays.

Required skills

• Ability to communicate verbally, in writing and through pictures when needed.
• Use of computers, iPad/tablet, Word, internet, email, social media and Resident Experience software platforms.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and to use technology effectively.
• Creative, independent thinking and problem-solving, with good judgment and teamwork.
