Environmental Services Associate (Housekeeper) - Part Time

About the role

The Experience Senior Living Team is looking for a part-time Environmental Services Associate (Housekeeper) to join its team in Mechanicsville. The role covers cleaning public areas and residents' apartments, laundry and general housekeeping duties.

Key responsibilities

• Clean public areas and residents' apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios and windows, floors, furniture and common areas
• Distribute laundered articles and linens, change beds and bed linens, and wash and dry resident laundry in provided appliances
• Sweep and scrub floors, vacuum rugs and carpets, dust furniture and equipment, polish metalwork and wash walls, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills
• Maintain resident laundry areas by mopping floors and washing walls regularly
• Wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly, disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies, and stock the cleaning cart
• Empty wastebaskets, transport trash to the disposal area, and report trash and dumpster issues to maintenance
• Report resident issues, changes in health or living status, and potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance issues to the supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Ability to connect with and help residents transition from home to community through thoughtful engagement
• Arrives on time with minimal absence and tardiness
• Neat appearance according to dress code
• Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly
• Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidays
