About the role
The Registration Representative coordinates patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling at Lehigh Valley Health Network. This per‑diem position involves interacting with patients both by phone and in‑person to gather essential information and ensure smooth admission processes.
Key responsibilities
- Interview patients to collect demographic, insurance, and clinical data.
- Verify insurance eligibility, collect out‑of‑pocket fees, and create financial estimates.
- Scan and file insurance cards, IDs, and regulatory documents.
- Interpret physician orders and secure required consents.
- Review daily schedules, anticipate issues, and collaborate with staff to resolve them.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of customer service or healthcare experience.
- Ability to combine compassion with professional skills.
- Successful completion of required training within two attempts.
Required skills
- Computer and typing proficiency.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Bilingual ability (preferred).
