Registered Nurse (RN) – Substance Use Disorder Care

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) joins a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence‑based care to individuals with substance use disorders. This full‑time, onsite position focuses on clinical oversight, medication management, and coordinated discharge planning within a residential recovery setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct medical evaluation, intervention, and nursing care on the treatment unit.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, identify high‑risk indicators, and document clinical history.
• Administer and reconcile medications during shift changes, ensuring accuracy.
• Develop individualized nursing care plans and support discharge planning from admission onward.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and act as liaison with external hospitals and families.
• Maintain compliance with nursing regulatory requirements and facility policies.

Required profile

• Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of employment.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or obtain within 90 days).
• Preferred: BSN or higher and 2+ years experience in behavioral health, SUD, or psychiatric settings.

Required skills

• Medication Administration Records (MARs) management.
• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
