About the role

Join Ochsner’s Orthopedic Unit in Meridian as a full‑time Registered Nurse on the dayshift. You will provide exceptional patient care, lead interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver high‑quality patient care and assess learning needs.
Delegate, direct, and collaborate with licensed and ancillary team members, acting as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
Use data and evidence‑based practice to drive improvements and achieve optimal outcomes.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Demonstrated judgment, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Ability to assess patient needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
