Registered Nurse – Night Shift Adult Psychiatry

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Adult Psychiatric unit at its Schuylkill campus. This night‑shift position (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) offers the chance to provide professional nursing care in a nationally recognized, Magnet® hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Utilize evidence‑based practice, participate in quality and safety initiatives, and contribute to performance improvement processes.
• Provide patient and family education, support transitions of care, and mentor new colleagues and interns.
• Perform validated technical skills specific to the unit, delegate tasks appropriately, and use technology to enhance care delivery.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Successful completion of unit‑specific orientation and competency assessments.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver safe patient care in a fast‑paced night‑shift environment.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
