Registered Nurse – NICU – Full‑Time Weekend Days

About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a Registered Nurse in the OLGMC Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, working full‑time on weekend days. You will provide high‑quality patient care, lead interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to deliver safe, effective patient care.
• Assess learning needs of patients, families, and staff and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, both human and fiscal.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Use data and evidence‑based information to drive improvements in patient care.
• Promote cultural, ethnic, and religious sensitivity in all interactions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and certification in a clinical specialty area.
