About the role

The Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for an agency‑alternative position in the NICU unit. This role provides professional nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, supporting patient safety and quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated NICU patients.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course.
Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current RN license for Pennsylvania (upon hire).
Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in a fast‑paced environment.
Completion of unit‑specific orientation and competency assessments.

Required skills

American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (state of Pennsylvania).
Basic computer skills.
