Registered Nurse – ICU

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in an ICU setting. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with facility policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Utilize evidence‑based practice to ensure quality and safety, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course to facilitate effective transitions of care.
• Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns, delegating tasks based on skill and patient acuity.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current knowledge of nursing practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments and maintain unit‑specific competencies.
• Successful completion of orientation programs related to the specialty and possession of a Pennsylvania RN license upon hire.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer skills.
