Registered Nurse – Flexible Shift

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a flexible Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care across multiple hospital locations. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Utilize evidence‑based practice, participate in quality and safety initiatives, and contribute to performance improvement processes.
• Provide patient and family education, support transitions of care, and perform unit‑specific technical skills.
• Mentor new colleagues and interns, delegate tasks appropriately, and assist with performance appraisals.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania (upon hire).
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments, maintain unit‑specific competencies, and complete orientation programs.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn technology‑enhanced care delivery.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
• Physical ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform patient transfers.
