About the role
The Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Certified Athletic Trainer on a per‑diem basis to provide direct care to student‑athletes, ensuring optimal sports outcomes while adhering to professional standards and organizational goals.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver prevention, immediate care, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and reconditioning services for athletic injuries.
- Document all patient care activities and participate in staff and student education programs.
- Maintain inventory, manage supplies, and develop daily schedules in coordination with the athletic department.
- Provide medical response coverage for home and select away events as scheduled.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or Exercise Physiology from a CAATE‑accredited program.
- Successful completion of an approved Athletic Training Internship and appropriate national certification.
- Ability to travel within 50 miles of home and hold a Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- Less than 1 year of experience, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Required skills
- Athletic Trainer certification (BOC or ATL) in Pennsylvania.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and internal LVHN software systems.
