Registered Nurse – Part‑time Weekend

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care on a part‑time weekend schedule at its Muhlenberg location. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in alignment with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
• Teach and mentor new colleagues and interns, and delegate tasks based on team members’ skills and patient acuity.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Successful completion of orientation programs and maintenance of unit‑specific competencies.
• Ability to organize, prioritize assignments and work safely in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
• Basic computer skills for electronic health record documentation.
