About the role
Provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department on the night shift, delivering assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in accordance with LVHN policies.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Deliver patient and family education throughout the treatment course and support transitions of care.
- Participate in evidence‑based practice, performance improvement processes, and unit safety initiatives.
- Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns as assigned.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Successful completion of orientation programs and maintenance of unit‑specific competencies.
- Ability to organize, prioritize assignments, and perform physical tasks such as lifting 40‑50 lb.
Required skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (Pennsylvania).
- Basic computer skills.
