About the role
Recess is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast United States to lead distributor performance, drive retail execution, and build key customer relationships. This remote, full‑time position focuses on achieving volume, share, and distribution targets while executing trade and promotional programs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead distributor management for assigned markets, aligning on execution priorities and sales objectives.
- Drive distribution, display, and velocity KPIs across grocery, convenience, and mass channels.
- Partner with national and regional account teams to execute Joint Business Plans.
- Conduct market visits, ride‑alongs, and retail audits to monitor execution and provide feedback.
- Coach distributor sales teams to ensure compliance with Recess standards.
- Manage retail activation of shopper marketing programs, POS, and promotional calendars.
- Track regional sales performance and report results, opportunities, and risks to leadership.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning to improve forecasting accuracy for the region.
- Represent Recess at distributor sales meetings and regional industry events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers to secure leading shelf presence.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 5–7 years of CPG beverage sales experience with distributor management responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) systems and retail execution.

What we offer
- Base salary $115‑145K per year.
- On‑target earnings (OTE) $145‑190K including bonus.
- Eligibility to participate in the Sales Bonus Plan.
- Remote work (EST time zone) with flexible business hours.
