Regional Operations Head, Senior Director

About the role

The Regional Operations Head acts as Chief of Staff to the Regional Head, providing end‑to‑end business and portfolio oversight across regional programs. The role supports strategy development, drives performance and ensures compliance with GCTO objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate cross‑functional meetings, prepare dashboards and status reports, and act as liaison between regional leadership, Clinical Research Directors and other stakeholders.
• Track milestones, dependencies and resource gaps, develop and manage the regional project portfolio, and propose process improvements.
• Oversee regional clinical trial allocation, align research strategies with corporate objectives and define performance metrics.
• Lead issue escalation, conduct trend analysis and foster cultural diversity awareness across countries.
• Lead and manage the regional team including Operations Lead, Support Lead and Analyst.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of clinical operations experience in a sponsor environment, covering multiple therapeutic areas and phases.
• Strong leadership, business and financial acumen, and ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in a life‑science discipline; advanced degree (MS, PhD, PharmD, MBA) preferred.
