Regional Business Manager (West)

About the role

Alamar is seeking a collaborative, self‑driven sales leader to develop and execute the commercial strategy for the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest. The role combines field work with home‑office responsibilities and focuses on building deep relationships with academic, biotech, pharma, and government customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory‑wide, account‑based sales plan to meet or exceed company goals.
• Deliver presentations and seminars on Alamar’s precision proteomics technology.
• Consult customers on the value of the technology and ensure an exceptional experience.
• Partner across functions to relay customer needs for product development and market expansion.
• Manage the sales process in a complex environment, maintain the CRM system, and provide accurate forecasts.
• Prospect new leads, expand the customer base, and support the growth of the commercial organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field; MBA or similar degree preferred.
• 5+ years of proven life‑science capital sales experience with a strong track record.
• Deep knowledge of biomarker discovery and life‑science markets.
• Highly adaptable, independent professional with a strong desire to build long‑term customer relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Ability to manage complex sales cycles and forecasting.

What we offer

• Base salary range $140,000 – $160,000 plus commission, equity and benefits.
• Participation in E‑Verify to confirm work authorization in the United States.
