Business Development Manager

About the role

Astro Shapes is looking for a results‑driven Business Development Manager to identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across strategic growth markets. The role focuses on expanding the company’s presence in building, construction, data centers, electrical infrastructure, transportation, industrial automation and other OEM segments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and develop new business opportunities within strategic market segments.
• Partner with sales representatives and regional leadership to drive revenue growth and build a robust pipeline.
• Lead opportunities from prospecting through quoting, contract negotiation, onboarding and production launch.
• Conduct customer visits, plant tours, presentations and technical sales discussions.
• Analyze technical drawings, specifications and commercial requirements to develop cost‑effective extrusion solutions.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and pricing recommendations, ensuring gross margin targets are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in business development, technical sales or account management.
• Proven success in acquiring new business and achieving revenue growth targets.
• Experience in aluminum extrusions or related metal manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to travel 50% or more.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of aluminum alloys, extrusion dies and finishing processes.
