Promotions Director

About the role

iHeartMedia, the largest audio company in America, is hiring a Promotions Director in Minneapolis. The role manages the day-to-day execution of station promotions, contests, events and sponsorships, from initial concept through completion, while keeping several initiatives running at once and meeting all deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage advertising and marketing activities and campaigns, and improve the company's product image, market data and information
• Coordinate and run promotions such as remotes, events, van hits and street team activities, and set up and run audio and other equipment, banners and staging
• Record events (photos, videos, audio and social media measures) for studio promotions
• Prepare contest rules, waivers and release forms, supervise prize inventory and handle prize fulfillment
• Oversee on-site appearances, remotes and events, and coordinate with programming and talent on contest themes and promotional opportunities
• Write station copy, communicate weekly with station talent, and research and report on program and campaign effectiveness
• Perform basic office administrative functions and update the station website

Required profile

• Significant previous experience in outdoor promotions and/or marketing and/or customer service
• Four-year college degree (Communications, Advertising and Marketing) or equivalent work experience
• Valid state driver's license, proof of insurability and excellent driving record
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move 40-pound objects
• Radio, media, promotions, event marketing or related experience preferred

• Advanced Microsoft Office, Photoshop and social media platforms
• Project management, organization and attention to detail
• Business writing and clear communication
