Project Director – Risk and Compliance

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is seeking a Project Director to lead its Risk and Compliance team. In this senior position you will drive large‑scale, cross‑functional projects that impact both the Bank and the Federal Reserve System, ensuring they are delivered on time and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Independently oversee complex Bank and System projects with minimal supervision.
• Lead work groups, special projects, and programs that have significant business impact.
• Manage communications, facilitate meetings, and coordinate activities across multiple teams.
• Synthesize information from business lines and present recommendations to senior management.
• Prepare reports, proposals, strategic plans, and other documentation for senior review.
• Analyze business needs, assess risks, and recommend technical, procedural, and policy solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least six years of operations, financial analysis, and project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of risk and compliance, preferably within the Federal Reserve System.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate recommendations to senior leadership.
• Experience navigating ambiguity and managing relationships across multiple departments.
• Strategic thinking and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
