Program Director

About the role

Cancer Support Community Atlanta is seeking a dynamic Program Director to lead and expand its free cancer support services across the Atlanta area. Reporting to the Executive Director, this full‑time role oversees program operations, staff, and a wide range of community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead growth and coordination of program operations throughout the Atlanta community.
• Supervise licensed instructors and facilitators, managing an extensive calendar of support groups, classes, presentations, and social activities.
• Develop strategic plans and budgets to ensure sustainable program delivery.

Required profile

• Licensed master‑level mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Clinical Psychologist) licensed in Georgia.
• Minimum five years of postgraduate management and clinical experience.
• Proven effectiveness as a presenter, trainer, and communicator.
• Ability to lead and supervise staff, provide clinical supervision, and develop programs.
• Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and knowledge of local nonprofits, healthcare, and cancer outreach.
• Availability for occasional after‑hours and weekend activities.
