Pro Sales Representative - Atlanta

About the role

The Pro Sales Representative builds strong relationships with Pro customers and runs a sales strategy to grow sales profitably for assigned accounts, supporting the organization's goals and increasing market share. The role manages the full sales cycle of a designated portfolio, from prospecting and pipeline management to closing sales and resolving issues. It typically reports to the Pro Sales Representative Manager, with no direct reports, and involves occasional overnight travel of less than 5%.

Key responsibilities

• Review sales calls with sales leadership, give account insights and sales plan opportunities, and take part in product knowledge and process improvement training.
• Inbound: resolve order and delivery issues with the support team, investigate customer problems and develop scalable solutions with in-store Pro Sales and Pro Support teams, and follow up on completed orders.
• Outbound: research accounts, identify key players and prospect new business through warm/hot and cold calling; close sales and drive incremental growth within the assigned portfolio.
• Negotiate projects, develop tailored solutions, and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of work experience; 3 years preferred.
• Retail, proven inside sales or telephone sales experience is preferred.
• Preferred: experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM, and project management skills.

Required skills

• Preferred: working knowledge of Microsoft Office and presentation software such as PowerPoint.
• Preferred: excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and complaint-handling skills.
• Preferred: ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply strategic planning to sales growth.
