Pipe Table Operator & Industrial Hose Fabricator

About the role

The Pipe Table Operator / Industrial Hose Fabricator works in the shop cutting, threading, and grooving pipe, and fabricating heavy‑duty industrial hose assemblies. The position is hands‑on, requiring comfort with shop equipment such as chop saws, pipe threaders, and crimping machinery. Shift is Monday‑Friday, day shift (8 am‑5 pm).

Key responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bevel, thread, and roll‑groove carbon steel, stainless, and galvanized pipe using RIDGID threading and grooving machines.
• Cut industrial suction, discharge, petroleum, water, and chemical hoses to exact lengths and attach fittings with internal expansion, band clamps, or large‑bore crimpers.
• Perform pre‑shift safety checks, monitor die wear, change saw blades/dies, and keep the fabrication area clean.
• Move pipe bundles, hose reels, and finished assemblies with forklifts, overhead cranes or pipe stands.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience in pipe fabrication, industrial hose assembly, or metal‑shop production.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch and use calipers, thread gauges, and other measurement tools.
• Physical ability to lift 50–75 lb occasionally and stand for the duration of the shift.

Required skills

• Operation of pipe threading and grooving machines (e.g., RIDGID 300/535).
• Operation of power cutting saws and chop saws.
• Accurate measurement using tape measures, calipers, and thread gauges.
• Forklift and overhead crane/hoist handling of heavy materials.
