Phlebotomist

About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Phlebotomist and provide essential patient services across multiple care sites. You will perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and a variety of specimen collections while ensuring accurate labeling and processing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, capillary, POCT, EKG, PKU, DUI, drug screen, and DNA collections for all age groups.
• Accession, label, process, and store clinical specimens for transport to the HNL processing facility.
• Enter specimen data into LIS and HIS systems and verify test orders for accuracy.
• Respond to patient and client inquiries regarding specimen requirements and testing schedules.
• Maintain a heavy workload, multitask, and prioritize tasks while adhering to safety and PPE guidelines.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED and at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience or completion of an approved phlebotomy training program.
• Proficient computer skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to obtain American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification within 90 days.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
