About the role
Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Perioperative Care Partner, supporting nursing staff in the operating room. You will help ensure patient safety, comfort, and efficient turnover of surgical suites.
Key responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff with positioning, transferring anesthetized patients, and cleaning operating rooms after cases.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room and ensure necessary instruments and supplies are available.
- Provide emotional support during pre‑operative contact and handle patient specimens appropriately.
- Participate in activities that increase operating‑room productivity and efficiency.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated mature, conscientious behavior with sound judgment.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required within 90 days of hire).
- Physical ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb, push/pull patients, and stand or walk 8‑10 miles per shift.
