About the role
The University of Miami Health System seeks a Per-Diem Registered Nurse (GI RN 1) to deliver patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent, evidence‑based environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
- Review diagnostic tests, consult with physicians and healthcare professionals, and prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications safely, maintain accurate records, and communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team.
- Serve as a preceptor for new staff, provide feedback, and assist with discharge planning.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Valid State of Florida RN license.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and learning agility.
