Patient Transport Coordinator

About the role

The Patient Transport Coordinator oversees patient transportation services and equipment using logistics software. The role ensures high satisfaction for patients, customers, and staff while maintaining productivity and safety standards during night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare work schedules proactively and assign tasks to transporters and equipment partners.
• Generate daily reports for transport and bed‑cleaning management.
• Coordinate patient transports using computer‑assisted dispatching software and radios.
• Maintain relationships with agencies and departments to ensure effective transport coordination.
• Assist in developing processes, policies, data tracking, and staff training.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple commitments, and provide excellent customer service.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association, Pennsylvania).
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.

Required skills

• Proficiency with logistics and dispatch software.
• Use of computer‑based radios and related programs.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
