About the role
The Patient Care Partner provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department on an evening schedule. This position supports the nursing team by delivering treatments, performing diagnostic studies, and assisting with patient needs.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver patient‑centered care, including treatments and diagnostic studies as directed by a Registered Nurse.
- Observe patients, communicate changes or problems promptly to the RN, and respond to call lights or pages.
- Participate in patient rounds, anticipate needs, and perform quality control checks on unit equipment.
- Use technology to support alternative modes of care delivery and maintain unit‑specific competencies.
Required profile
- High School Diploma/GED with less than one year of direct patient‑care experience, or successful completion of LVHN’s inexperienced technical partner course.
- Ability to follow directions, organize and prioritize assignments, and maintain basic computer proficiency.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (Pennsylvania) within 30 days of hire.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Basic computer skills.
