Part-Time Concierge

About the role

The Marriott Mystic Hotel & Spa in Groton, CT is looking for a part-time concierge. The role welcomes guests, coordinates hotel services and amenities and offers anticipatory and on-request assistance. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests and proactively offer assistance
• Provide information about local attractions and events
• Make travel arrangements and handle dining and other reservations, including event tickets
• Receive, store or deliver luggage and mail, and pick up or deliver items and run errands
• Carry out unusual requests, such as finding hard-to-find items or services
• Act as a Guest Service Agent during staffing shortages or peak check-in/check-out periods
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work toward higher departmental and overall satisfaction
• Follow safe work practices and perform other duties requested by management

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience required, or equivalent training
• Knowledge of the local community, attractions and events

Work conditions

• Schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends and alternate shifts
• Requires standing or sitting for long periods, walking and lifting up to 15 pounds
