OR Diagnostic Technologist II

About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as an OR Diagnostic Technologist II, providing high‑quality radiologic imaging in the operating room and other hospital locations. You will work under physician direction, ensuring patient safety and excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and move imaging equipment (portable units, hybrid rooms, C‑Arms, O‑Arms) safely in the OR.
• Adjust image quality, select exposure factors, and use collimation, lead shielding, and proper distance.
• Submit images and documentation promptly to PACS, recording LMP, fluoroscopy time, mGy, and room time.
• Prepare and verify contrast injector settings under surgeon supervision.
• Coordinate exam timing with the team and adhere to sterile techniques and safety precautions.

Required profile

• Technical School Diploma or accredited Radiography program graduate.
• Registered Technologist Radiology (RT) license – State of Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) within 180 days of hire.
• Ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk continuously, and perform patient transfers.

Required skills

• Radiography equipment operation (C‑Arm, O‑Arm, portable units).
• Knowledge of radiation safety and protection standards.
• Experience with PACS image submission and documentation.
• Contrast injector preparation and usage.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
