Operations Management Manager IV – MDP Build – Days

About the role

Applied Materials is the global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that underpin virtually every new semiconductor chip and advanced display. The equipment created and serviced by the company is essential to advancing AI and accelerating next‑generation semiconductor commercialization. This role leads operations for the MDP Build program, driving efficiency, quality and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and monitor production metrics and budgets, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Plan and control project schedules, timelines and plant capacity to meet customer delivery commitments.
• Optimize resource utilization, reduce costs and ensure on‑time product delivery.
• Direct, guide and evaluate personnel to achieve production and supply‑chain goals while adhering to 5S, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, Lean projects and technology adoption to enhance cycle time and profitability.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to manage homogeneous teams, adapt plans to operational challenges and mentor direct reports.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational issues.
• Understanding of industry standards, business impact and alignment with senior management objectives.
• Commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with Applied Materials’ global standards.

Required skills

• Lean manufacturing methodologies (including 5S).
• Clean‑room operations and use of personal protective equipment.
