Office Accountant / Accounting Insurance Officer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Office Accountant with insurance experience to join our finance team in New York. The role involves managing day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and supporting cross‑functional business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure proper transaction recording.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Ensure tax compliance and prepare tax returns.
• Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits.
• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Oversee payroll processing.
• Develop and implement internal controls.
• Utilize accounting software to streamline processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
• US or Canada residency.
