Neurohospitalist

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Neurohospitalist to provide in‑person neurohospitalist services at Cedar Crest and Muhlenberg hospitals and to support inpatient teleneurology for rural spoke sites. The position follows a week‑on, week‑off schedule and primarily daytime hours.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver neurohospitalist care at LVHN’s Cedar Crest and Muhlenberg hospitals during on‑site weeks.
• Provide inpatient teleneurology coverage for rural spoke sites during remote weeks.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of over 45 neurologists, advanced practice clinicians, neurocritical care, epilepsy monitoring, neurosurgery, neuropsychology, genetics, neuroradiology, rehabilitation, and social work.
• Participate in stroke transfer coordination through LVHN’s Transfer Center and support critical care transport services.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible neurologist with interest in neurohospitalist practice.
• Willingness to work a week‑on, week‑off schedule covering both on‑site and tele‑neurology duties.
• Ability to collaborate within a large, multidisciplinary neuroscience institute.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in neurology and neurocritical care.
• Experience with inpatient teleneurology platforms.
• Familiarity with stroke transfer protocols and critical care transport.
