Mobility Technician – Night Shift (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Mobility Technician supports patients with mobility tasks, exercises and functional activities during night shifts in an acute care setting. You will work closely with nursing, therapy and physician teams to ensure safe patient movement and adherence to the Progressive Mobility Protocol.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, lifts and bed positioning as directed by clinical staff.
• Gather and document patient mobility information in EPIC according to the Progressive Mobility Protocol.
• Inspect, maintain, clean and store mobility equipment, and manage supply inventory.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to monitor patient response and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; no prior experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work as a team member, follow infection‑control and safety protocols, and handle heavy physical demands.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Knowledge of Progressive Mobility Protocol (PMP) and documentation procedures.
• Basic computer and web‑application skills.
