Member Team Lead – Retail Operations

About the role

The Member Team Lead is responsible for supervising associates in a Sam's Club location, ensuring exceptional member service, and driving membership growth. You will act as a bridge between management and front‑line staff, fostering a positive environment while meeting operational and sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assign duties, train, coach and evaluate associates on member‑service standards.
• Handle member complaints, process upgrades, renewals and credit accounts.
• Support sales and marketing events, maintain marketing documentation and track membership goals.
• Assist members with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and operate registers or self‑checkout stations.
• Manage claims, returns, inventory organization, shrink identification and cart/flat‑bed availability.
• Perform accounting tasks: daily deposits, cash fund transfers, financial analysis reports and investigations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics and the Open Door Policy.
• Identify process improvements by collaborating with managers and other business partners.
