About the role

As a Member of Technical Staff, Research Intern, you will join Abundant’s founding team to help shape the next generation of model reasoning and intelligence. Working at the intersection of cutting‑edge research and production, you will collaborate with top AI labs to push state‑of‑the‑art boundaries.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and execute a core research agenda aimed at discovering simple, generalizable ideas that improve model reasoning at scale.
• Own the full research‑to‑production lifecycle, ensuring rapid deployment of prototypes into live systems.
• Partner with leading AI research teams to design, engineer, and iterate on high‑impact datasets and large‑scale benchmarking efforts.
• Focus on model alignment, safety, and the definition of optimal reward signals for frontier models.
• Identify and autonomously select high‑value research problems that advance data strategy and model performance.

Required profile

• Strong engineering background with demonstrated contributions to frontier AI research.
• Ability to work closely with world‑class researchers and translate research insights into production‑ready solutions.
• Self‑motivated, capable of independent problem selection and execution.
