Member of Technical Staff

About the role

As a Member of Technical Staff on the Frontier Data team, you will build environments, evaluations, and datasets that push the limits of frontier AI models. You will work closely with researchers and engineers from leading AI labs, delivering scalable platforms that enable high‑value capability research.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build RL environments, evaluations, and datasets targeting critical gaps in frontier model capabilities.
• Develop internal platforms and infrastructure to run hundreds of thousands of tasks at scale with high throughput, reproducibility, and observability.
• Collaborate directly with external AI lab researchers to shape dataset development aligned with their model roadmaps.
• Implement grading harnesses, metrics, and automated checks to ensure quality of environments and datasets.
• Prototype quickly and harden successful solutions into production systems for broader use.
• Contribute to open‑source projects that benefit the wider community.

Required profile

• Strong generalist engineer who thrives on ill‑defined, frontier AI problems.
• High agency and bias toward action with the ability to work autonomously across systems engineering, ML tooling, and research collaboration.

Required skills

• Practical experience with agents, evaluations, or reinforcement‑learning (RL) workflows.
• Strong technical background and clear written communication.

• Base salary ranging from $150,000 to $300,000, plus equity.
