Medical Receptionist – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Medical Receptionist & Patient Support Associate to work remotely while covering Chicago business hours. The role supports our front‑desk team by handling inbound patient calls, providing information, enrolling new patients, scheduling appointments, and addressing basic billing queries.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming patient calls with courteous and accurate information.
• Assist new patients with enrollment and account setup.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as requested.
• Take detailed messages for medical and administrative staff.
• Make outbound calls for wellness visit reminders and follow‑ups when call volume is low.
• Respond to simple billing questions or direct patients to the appropriate contact.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in the system.

Required profile

• Available to work mornings through afternoons in Chicago time zone.
• Reliable internet connection and a personal computer or laptop.
• Quiet, professional remote workspace.
• Previous experience in a patient‑facing or customer support role is an advantage.

Required skills

• Familiarity with scheduling software.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
