Medical Director, Medical Affairs

About the role

The Medical Director, Medical Affairs will serve as the senior therapeutic and disease‑area expert for Beeline Medicines, leading external scientific engagement and shaping the medical affairs strategy for the company’s autoimmune and inflammatory disease pipeline, with a primary focus on lupus.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary medical and scientific liaison for key medical experts, healthcare providers, and patient‑advocacy groups in lupus, rheumatology, and dermatology.
• Define, develop, and execute the medical affairs strategy for the I&I pipeline, including evidence generation and medical education initiatives.
• Lead scientific exchange activities, support clinical development input, and contribute to commercial readiness, market access, and regulatory strategy.
• Build and sustain trusted peer‑level relationships within the autoimmune and inflammatory disease community.
• Provide internal scientific authority, guiding cross‑functional teams on medical and scientific matters.

Required profile

• Deep scientific expertise in autoimmune diseases, particularly lupus and related inflammatory conditions.
• Extensive experience managing relationships with key medical experts and patient‑advocacy organizations.
• Proven strategic leadership in a clinical‑stage biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment.
• Ability to operate effectively in a resource‑efficient, fast‑moving biotech setting.
