Applied Materials is seeking a Materials Project Manager IV to lead forecasting, supplier coordination, and material strategy for semiconductor and advanced display equipment. The role blends engineering insight with supply‑chain expertise to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of critical components.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate product development deliverables through matrix management of buyers, planners, and production control.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis and support outsourcing decisions.
• Manage supplier negotiations, risk assessments, performance monitoring, and quality issue resolution.
• Oversee materials change‑control, cost targets, and key process indicator reporting.

Required profile

• Demonstrated depth of expertise in materials engineering or a related discipline.
• Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices.
• Experience leading functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving skills and judgment for innovative solutions.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities across cross‑functional teams.
