Material and Maintenance Management Specialist

About the role

MANTECH is seeking a motivated, customer‑oriented Material and Maintenance Management Specialist to support Navy carrier readiness in Norfolk, VA. This full‑time onsite position focuses on analyzing maintenance data and providing actionable recommendations to improve fleet readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, review, integrate, and analyze historical and current maintenance data from Navy sources (OMMS‑NG, MFOM, CSMPs, INSURV) to produce statistical and graphical analyses of program effectiveness.
• Identify fleet‑wide deficiencies, systemic process failures, and training gaps, delivering data‑driven corrective recommendations to CVN ROC leadership.
• Evaluate the impact of deferred and incomplete maintenance actions on carrier readiness and advise on prioritization of critical items.
• Collaborate with ROC subject‑matter experts to integrate 3‑M data with logistics, manning, and training analyses.
• Develop draft recommendations for carrier readiness guidance and 3‑M program requirements for government review.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience with the U.S. Navy’s 3‑M system within the last 5 years.
• 10+ years of experience with CVN maintenance policies and Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements.
• 10+ years of experience analyzing and validating Navy maintenance data and assessing impacts on platform readiness.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.

Required skills

• Expert use of Microsoft Office products.
• Proficiency with Navy Data Environment (NDE) and databases such as OMMS‑NG, MFOM, CSMPs, and INSURV reports.
