Manufacturing Technician II (T2)

About the role

Join Applied Materials as a Manufacturing Technician II working in a cleanroom environment to build, test, and repair multimillion‑dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment. You will handle electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies while supporting the advancement of semiconductor and AI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Use work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to build, repair and test various equipment assemblies.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, repairs and audits of parts for defects.
• Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies.
• Document progress, labor details and perform computer programming, software installs or repairs as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor, display, or comparable industry/military experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly.
• Use of electronic measurement equipment.
• Operation of leak detectors and vacuum pumps.
• Basic computer programming and software installation.
