Maintenance Technician – Columns at Wakefield

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Columns at Wakefield garden‑style community in Raleigh, NC. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common‑area amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible.

Required profile

• Ability to work Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
