Leasing Professional – Mid‑Rise Community (280 Units)

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention for a mid‑rise, 280‑unit community. You will manage all leasing activities, from prospect outreach to move‑in, while supporting marketing and renewal initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit screening and criminal background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements, move‑in packages, and ensure smooth resident move‑ins.
• Inspect units before occupancy and coordinate any needed maintenance.
• Monitor market and competitor trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans.
• Execute marketing tactics such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity, and manage resident data.
• Work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating weekends as required.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to qualify and convert prospects.
• Ability to coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to meet occupancy goals.
• Willingness to work rotating weekends and adapt to a fast‑paced leasing environment.

Required skills

• Experience with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Proficiency in online marketing tools including Craigslist and Facebook.
• Knowledge of credit screening and background check processes.
