Lead Service Technician

About the role

The Lead Service Technician (Foreman) will direct industrial electrical service projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position requires hands‑on field work, crew leadership, and strong technical communication with clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review project scope, schedules, manpower needs, and material requirements.
• Lead field crews on troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, installations, shutdowns, startups, and commissioning of industrial electrical systems.
• Coordinate with Project Management and Service leadership to ensure successful execution and long‑term client relationships.
• Document field conditions, identify change‑order opportunities, and provide regular status updates to Project Managers.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation and respond to emergency service requests, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of electrical field installation experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Proven ability to lead crews, manage shutdowns/startups, and enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards.
• Associate’s degree or technical degree in Electrical Technology, or equivalent experience.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Required skills

• Industrial motor control circuits (2‑wire/3‑wire), MCCs, VFDs, conduit systems, large cable pulls.
• PLC and HMI programming, industrial automation, process controls, instrumentation.
• Interpretation of electrical drawings, one‑line diagrams, control schematics, and P&IDs.
• Troubleshooting of production equipment, preventive maintenance planning, and emergency response.
