Lab Assistant / Esthetician – Medical Assisting Instructor

About the role

Join the State of Georgia as a Lab Assistant and Esthetician who will also serve as an instructor for medical assisting courses in the Allied Health department. This full‑time, day‑shift position combines hands‑on lab support with classroom and online teaching responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach medical assisting courses at any college location, including day and evening classes.
• Prepare lesson plans, develop curriculum, syllabi, goals, and objectives for classroom, laboratory, and online instruction.
• Evaluate student progress, maintain documentation, and generate administrative reports.
• Participate in professional development, recruitment, retention, and job placement activities.
• Serve on committees and manage project assignments as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in a Medical Assisting program from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three (3) years recent experience in patient care and/or teaching.
• Current RMA (AMT) or CMA (AAMA) certification, or eligibility for certification.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree, 160+ hours in an ambulatory setting, one (1) year of post‑secondary teaching experience, and credentialing in good standing with a NCCA‑accredited organization.
